Remember the movie Sky High? That surprisingly funny and surprisingly heartfelt Disney flick from 2005 with Kurt Russell as a superhero? With Marvel seemingly running the film industry, Sky High has returned to the zeitgeist. The film centered around Will Stronghold (Michael Angarano), a high school freshman who was child of the worlds most famous superheroes, the Commander (Russell) and Jetstream (Kelly Preston). Will would be attending Sky High, a floating school for the children of superheroes....

One of the most influential video games of all time, Super Mario Bros. was released back in 1985 for the Famicom and Nintendo Entertainment System. While many regard the game as the beginning of the Nintendo boom, Super Mario Bros. was actually going to be the last cartridge game released on the Famicom, which was moving toward a disk operating system. The preliminary ratings for the 2018 Oscar Awards Ceremony on ABC indicate a significant drop in live viewership relative to the ratings for the 2017 Oscars. Despite this, ABC was still the clear winner of the evening among the Big Four broadcast networks. Oscar Night is traditionally a big event for ABC, who has broadcast the Academy Awards every year since 1976. The Oscars are unique in that they are the only major awards show that is aired live in all United States time zones, Canada and the United Kingdom....

Only in recent memory, horror has taken a big leap with unique premises like Lights Out, Hush, and Don’t Breathe, and A Quiet Place tackles more sensory scares. Krasinski and Emily Blunt battle some mysterious forces in an apocalyptic world where no one can make a sound for a movie that is already tipped to make big waves in horror circles this year....

Chainsawesome Games’ latest, Aftercharge, is a surprising, fun, and strategic multiplayer-only game that offers an experience like no other game of its kind. Aftercharge will offer hours of fun, though its lack of game modes and non-combat focus may make it a difficult sell for more mainstream-inclined gamers. Aftercharge is an online multiplayer first-person shooter which pits two teams of three against each other in an arena-like setting. While on the surface this may sound like your run-of-the-mill multiplayer experience, Chainsawesome throws a curveball into the mix....

Disney and Guy Ritchie’s live-action remake of Aladdin managed to overcome low expectations and bad buzz to become a real box office hit. Mere days before it opened in theaters, many had written Aladdin off as an expensive folly and inevitably failure for Disney. While Disney’s steady stream of live-action remakes of animated classics had proven to be financially successful for them, they hadn’t exactly delighted critics. Aladdin reportedly cost over $180 million to make and felt like a risk for a company notorious for playing it safe....

Black Widow If there’s one existing comic book movie character who hasn’t had their own movie yet, but who definitely deserves one, it has to be Black Widow. Scarlett Johansson has portrayed the character brilliantly since 2010’s Iron Man 2 and has subsequently appeared in four more movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Natasha Romanoff has such an interesting history, but it’s only briefly been touched upon in the movies. A solo movie would give audiences the opportunity to see more of it, while getting more kick-ass Black Widow action - something nobody would complain about (especially not the guys)....

Feeling blue? Don’t worry, because Keanu Reeves is here to turn everyone’s frown upside down. A beloved actor with a heart of gold, Reeves became the internet’s darling this month when he made a surprise appearance at this year’s E3 Expo. Though, did we really need his presence at the Cyberpunk 2077 conference to remind us that Reeves is a god among men? He is, after all, one of the kindest, most honorable actors in all of Hollywood, dedicating himself to noble causes while making everyone’s eyes light up in the process....

One of the main things that separates television series from movies is TV’s season-based structure. Even when a show has an overall ongoing plot, the pacing is designed so that things ramp up over the course of a season, reaching a climax with the finale.
