Marvel’s Black Panther is poised to continue its dominance of the box office by besting new arrival A Wrinkle In Time. Since it debuted a month ago, Ryan Coogler’s entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe morphed into a cultural phenomenon, shattering records left and right as it climbed its way up the all-time charts. The film currently ranks as the second highest-grossing installment in the $14 billion franchise and may top The Avengers by the time it’s all said and done....

Penny Marshall, the actress-turned-director-turned-producer, has passed away due to complications from diabetes. In her 75 years, she inspired laughter and tears through her own iconic performances and the many classic films she directed and produced. Marshall started her acting career with a recurring guest role on The Odd Couple, directed by her brother, Garry Marshall. But her big break came when her brother needed a character named Laverne DeFazio for another of his hits, Happy Days....

Three days after 2022 started, Apple stocks hit around $182.90 during intraday trading, making the Cupertino firm the first company in the world to be worth $3 trillion. But after reaching this height, the iPhone maker’s shares have slumped 25% in these past few months. Although the company is still breaking revenue records in these past fiscal quarters, it has lost more than $800 billion in capitalization as tech stocks plunged, Bloomberg reports....

AirTags are often linked to alleged stalking attempts involving cars. In Texas, however, Apple’s item tracker was responsible for unveiling a double car theft in progress. A Texas motorist was heading to work recently when he received an iPhone alert saying an AirTag was following him. The driver reported the incident to the police, and an AirTag was found between the seats in the vehicle. Apple designed AirTags to notify users when a tracker that isn’t linked to their iPhone is traveling with them....

Stylish and gleefully macabre, Netflix’s The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is one of the streaming service’s best original programs. It tackles social issues, veers away from the many issues in its traditional source material in favor of a more feminist tone, and features gorgeously ghastly imagery. What’s not to love? It turns out that there are some big plot holes, inconsistencies, and just weird writing that would be easy to tear apart if we loved the show less....

12 Monkeys is on its way to wrapping up its time-hopping storyline, and a key part of that story is seeing protagonist James Cole (Aaron Stanford) go from a man on a mission to one who has everything to lose. The final season of the SYFY series is in the midst of a four-week marathon that has James, Cassie (Amanda Schull), Jennifer (Emily Hampshire), and Katarina (Barbara Sukowa) trying once and for all to prevent humanity’s downfall and set the time stream right after all their mucking about....

The world started out with a population of just a few thousand people, and now that almost 8 billion of us walk the Earth, there’s bound to be people we’d end up being related to without our knowledge. Then there’s marriage that bonds families together, and actors are connected this way, too. There’s still not much of a chance that famous personalities would be related to one another and be equally successful, but you’ll be surprised to know there are several of these actors who are very closely related, and you just didn’t know it....

Intel claimed earlier this month that its new Alder Lake Core i9 benchmarks faster than Apple’s M1 Max. As with all manufacturer claims (including those made by Apple), it doesn’t mean much until independently tested. These tests have now been done using a chunky MSI GE76 Raider laptop, and do show that Intel’s claim is technically true – but there are some pretty major caveats … We noted at the time that even Intel’s figures showed that its chip had massively higher power consumption, and Macworld says that benchmarks reveal the full extent of this....

Superman’s greatest foe, Lex Luthor is one of comics most well-known and feared villains. An idealist billionaire, Lex has used his ruthless intellect to combat Superman in every way possible. Known for his cunning as well as his wealth, Luthor has remained one of DC’s most active villains. With a history almost as long as Superman’s, Luthor continues to cause trouble for Superman and probably will for years to come....

Sure, Game of Throneshas beheadings and dragons and ice zombies and giants and maddening character deaths, but perhaps its best element is also the show at its most simple; two characters talking. Since the beginning, Game of Thrones has masterfully paired off main characters and let the sparks fly, and season after season we’ve watched with amazement and intrigue as new characters join forces and scheme their way toward their respective goals....

On a consistent basis throughout comic book history, the greatest stories have revolved around fantastical supervillain plots in one form or another. It would be safe to say that the supervillain is the straw that stirs the drink. Without them, our hero has nothing to spur them forward, to truly challenge them to become better than they thought they were. Everyone has their favorite story, and there’s never going to be a truly definitive list, but we’re going to give it our best shot....

Here are the basics: it will drop in Fall 2019, contain plenty of exclusive Disney films and television, be ad-free, and be priced far less than its competitors. It’ll likely feature hundreds of Disney classics for your viewing pleasure, but the company owns far more than animated movies. Between all of its TV channels, movie studios, and intellectual properties, there will likely be plenty of content to binge next year....

Considering all of the money behind massive movie franchises, reception to video game tie-ins for these properties tend to be…mixed. Whether they’re adapting a critically acclaimed blockbuster or an underperforming flop, it’s usually a safe assumption that licensed games will be poorly designed and rushed compared to other games on the market, if they’re not downright abysmal. And yet, as true as this observation is, there is always the occasional, brilliant exception....

On paper, there’s no way that the Jurassic Park franchise can fail. How can you not love genetically created dinosaurs chasing after a bunch of dumb humans and causing havoc in the process? When Jurassic World was released in 2015, though, not many people were convinced that the magic would still be there. It was the third sequel to the classic movie helmed by Steven Spielberg in 1993, but Spielberg wouldn’t be behind the camera once again....
