Dragon Ball, and the follow-up Dragon Ball Z, are two of the most popular anime of all-time, having reached Western audiences and worldwide appeal. The shows ran years ago, but still have new material coming out today, like the feature film Dragon Ball Super: Broly, that just released in 2018. With mass appeal comes an influx of fan-art. There have been hundreds of thousands of pieces of art to circulate based on the shows and with numbers like that, many are bound to be hilarious....

Spider-Man has come home to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and we’ve finally got our first look at him in the second full trailer for Captain America: Civil War. When one thinks of the Dragon Ball franchise, the first thing that comes to mind, aside from intense bouts of screaming, extended power-ups, enormous energy beams erupting from people’s hands, claims of “five minutes” lasting well over an hour, or people turning into apes, is hardcore martial arts action. The last thing that comes to mind would be romance in any shape or form. This isn’t to say that romance hasn’t been featured in the multiple series in some capacity, however minor, with Goku and Chi-Chi, Trunks and Mai, Vegeta and Bulma, and Gohan and Videl, along with others, it’s simply never been a focus, and certainly has never been fleshed out....

Before all else, the movie business is just that: a business. Hollywood has spent over a century trying to figure out the best way to lure people into movie theaters, and given the amount of money it’s generated, it has done a fairly good job. But a lucrative movie is not the same thing as a good one. Some of the most influential, memorable films of all time have been minor successes (or even failures) at the box office....

The 2019 Pokémon VGC rules were first revealed in August 2018, and they promised a shifting format that would take three different forms, starting in September 2018 and running through till August 2019. The new VGC rules are split into three different series, the Sun series, which started in September and will end in January, the Moon series, which will run from January till April, and the Ultra series, which will run from April to August...

For Star Wars fans across the galaxy, the anticipation for any news related to Episode IX has been off the charts. So far, Lucasfilm has officially confirmed that the upcoming film will be the final installment of the Skywalker saga and is slated to take place a year after the events in The Last Jedi. A few failed subplots are a given on any big television series that spans many seasons. The Vampire Diaries especially has so many weaving storylines and characters that it’s natural to have weaker parts dotting the plot. There were many aspects of the show that needed to be expanded upon to get us invested in them, and other storylines that weren’t necessary at all. With so many supernatural talents and mystical elements, sometimes the writers seemingly got carried away and ended up in narrative cul-de-sac....

While it suffered a slow, wobbly start, with its delay due to the 2008 writer’s strike and its disconnected, messy first few episodes, NBC’s Grimm quickly picked up the pace and took off only like many great series with shaky pilots have done, earning it a devout fan following and a reputation as one of the best fantasy shows on television. Once we got past the initial exposition and a bit of confusion, Nick Burkhardt found his footing and impressed us by balancing his role as a Grimm and a cop who had to toe the line between the law and the monster....

There are already decades worth of horror movie, but filmmakers continue to pump out flicks that make people’s spines tingle. Even though people are scared by different elements in horror movies, many people agree that The Exorcist is one of the scariest movies ever made.
