Eyebrows were raised during the iPhone 13 keynote when Apple said nothing about the A15 performance gains, choosing to compare its latest model against Android competitors rather than against the iPhone 12. The backstory of Adventure Time’s Ice King makes him one of the most tragic characters on the show. Adventure Time debuted back in 2010 and is animated show following the adventures of human Finn and his shape-shifting dog Jake. The series takes place in the Land of Ooo, which is home to any number of magical creatures, including vampires, sorcerers, and demons. The Ice King - not to be confused with Game Of Thrones’ Night King - is one of the main antagonists....

[This is a review of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 3, episode 12. There will be SPOILERS.] - In the midseason premiere of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the show jumped right back into the action with Daisy (Chloe Bennet) and Mack (Henry Simmons) leading a mission to recover a new Inhuman in Bogotá, Colombia. Although Yo-Yo Rodriguez (Natalia Cordova-Buckley) became an ally to S.H.I.E.L.D., Daisy decided the Inhumans working with their organization should have the freedom to come and go as they please - though Lincoln (Luke Mitchell) decided to stick around....

AirPods Pro 2 are reportedly set to be one of many announcements we see at tomorrow’s Apple event. Three years after the original AirPods Pro were released, Apple is set to follow them up with a new generation. The changes aren’t dramatic, but I think AirPods Pro 2 could easily stand out as one of the biggest announcements tomorrow. Putting AirTags in baggage was one of the things I did as soon as I got mine, and this seems to have become a very popular use of the tiny tracking devices. The Avengers aren’t called Earth’s Mightiest Heroes for nothing. While the roster is an ever-spinning revolving door, the basic concept of teaming some of the Marvel universe’s best and brightest remains a solid one and shows that when heroes get on the same page, there are very few threats they can’t overcome. Marvel fans are currently enjoying an embarrassment of riches. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is the most profitable movie series of all time, and it seems warnings of “superhero fatigue” aren’t ringing true as of yet with Avengers: Infinity War recently becoming the fastest movie to reach the coveted billion dollar mark at the box office....

Though William Shakespeare formed the basis for much of what we consider modern English and created a theater of poetry and intellectual insight that is still unmatched today, it’s difficult to translate his particular magic to film. Whether it’s because something is lost of the elemental energy that exists between live actors and audience or that film comes with expected aesthetic considerations that just don’t jive with the bard’s language is up for debate, but movie adaptations of his plays that work are few and far between....

The CW is one TV network that shows no signs of backing down. Owned by CBS Corporation and Warner Brothers, hence “CW,” the network constantly adds new stories to their roster. Most shows end up doing well with one fanbase or another. Mostly known for their several superhero shows including Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and most recently Black Lightning, the CW also host programs about supernatural hunters, vampires, and improv comedy groups....

We’re at the endgame of Avengers: Endgame being available for viewing at cinemas, and in order to hold onto interest for the film, memes have increased in great levels to keep us constantly reminded of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As the main story of the series is over now, and a wait lasting of a year until Black Widow is presumably released, do you really have any option other than to peruse through these 10 hilarious memes and be happily amused at all the laughs the series has given us?...

In the past two decades, Hollywood has taken a liking to true story movies, whether they document part of the lives of people who really lived, or spin their own take on historical events. However, while some true story films may offer movie viewers an idea of what happens to the people or locations after the credits role, others fail to give the whole story - whether it be the mysterious disappearance of the main character or a famous building’s ties to World War II Nazis....

Dr. H. Richard Hornburger and W. C. Heinz published MASH: A Novel About Three Army Doctors in 1968, detailing the darkly humorous antics of surgeons operating on wounded soldiers during the Korean War. When not saving people’s lives, the medical professionals stave off boredom by engaging in hijinks that would get them dishonorably discharged or thrown in prison if they weren’t so darn good at their jobs. The dark subject matter and unique insight into the lifestyle made the book a hit, spawning a 1970 film adaptation starring Donal Sutherland and Elliot Gould....

With today’s advances in CGI technology, just about anything a director’s tortured imaginings can dream up can be put on the screen. However, there’s no amount of computer trickery that can replace the spectacle of watching some mad-as-hell stunt performer risking his or her life for our sordid entertainment. And the audience always knowa whether we’re watching the genuine article or not. Certain purist directors, such as Christopher Nolan, run for the hills as soon as they get a whiff of CGI and still manage to produce scenes that knock our collective socks off....

In the beginning, the Marvel Cinematic Universe wasn’t the multi-billion dollar behemoth it’s become today. When it all kicked off, the concept was a foreign land. Never before had a multi-layered idea as delicately constructed as Stan Lee’s Marvel Comics creations been brought together under a collective umbrella to form a singular, connected universe. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige would later admit the uncertainties and anxieties surrounding 2008’s Iron Man, stating that so many pieces had to come together in order for the project to become the franchise-lauching film it’s perceived as today....

The Flash season two wrapped up last month with an epic finale – and one of Barry Allen’s worst decisions yet. The scarlet speedster headed back in time to the night his mother was killed (again), but this time, he saved her life. It’s a huge decision that undid pretty much everything Barry has done over the past two seasons – coming to terms with his mother’s death, discovering how time travel can affect the present, and making an earlier decision not to save her, in order to become the Flash....

The Flash is, without a doubt, one of the best superhero TV shows currently on the air. Its combination of action, humor and emotion is spot-on, and Grant Gustin is absolutely perfect as the newly-speedy Barry Allen. It’s the ideal series to introduce casual fans to the character, and even though it makes a few changes to comic book canon, the spirit of the books comes across perfectly. However, for those long-time fans of Barry Allen & Co, The Flash is filled with references, nods, and cameos from comic book bad guys to keep you happy....

Whether it is for a novel or a newspaper, writing holds a distinct fascination, both for those who do it, and those who feel that they never could. There have been a vast number of films over the years that make writers and the writing process their focus – from true-life biopics to fictitious thrillers, hack journalists to tortured artists, and at home bloggers to uber-rich screenwriters. Some films simply include the job of writing as an element of a character, but many more make the writing process integral to the plot....

It seems hard to fathom when Sony was the scrappy newcomer to the console world, foolishly challenging industry titans Nintendo and Sega. Fast forward 25 years, and PlayStation has comfortably led three of the four console generations it has participated in. Sure, it might be too early to officially “call” PlayStation 4’s victory in the current race, but its lead of nearly 50+ million units shipped over the currently second-place Xbox One is a gap that is unlikely to be caught....
