Disney’s dominance of the box office continues with their latest live-action remake of a beloved animated classic. This time it’s the warrior princess Mulan who’s getting the cinematic treatment, with a remake set to hit cinemas in 2020. Based on 1998’s animated musical of the same name, Mulan will retell the story of the titular character as she disguises herself as a man to join the Imperial Army as it defends China from an oncoming invasion....

The universe of the Men In Black expands this year with the franchise’s first spin-off, MIB: International. The fourth MIB movie sends the ambitious newcomer Agent M (Tessa Thompson) and the goofy ass-kicker Agent H (Chris Hemsworth) on a globe-trotting mission to stop The Hive: a dangerous race of shapeshifting aliens that conquer every world they come across. But like the vast and mysterious universe that the franchise is set in, the Men in Black’s return to cinemas leaves a lot of unanswered questions in its wake....

If Game of Thrones was a big part of our lives, being just regular people, then you can bet it’s huge for the actors and actresses involved. It’s not just a ticket to Hollywood stardom or bigger prospects for them; in the long span of time they were together on set, they have become a family. Sadly, all good things must come to an end (even if it was a rather bad ending)....

Denis Villeneuve’s much-anticipated sci-fi film Arrival has finally…err…arrived in theaters and is already generating the kind of buzz that we’ve come to associate with instant classics. Viewers are praising the film’s stunning cinematography, the commanding performance of Amy Adams, and off-the-charts entertainment value, but mostly, they are praising the film’s intelligence. The Punisher has an interesting history in Marvel comics, beginning as a Spider-Man villain before being gradually turned into an anti-hero. His origin story is well known by now: Frank Castle, a former soldier, finds his family deceased after a mob hit that was meant for him. Using this grief to fuel his vengeance, he set out to terminate pretty much every violent criminal he could find. This, obviously, is a distortion of justice, and his rehabilitation into something resembling a hero embraced even by some cops bothers his creator, Gerry Conway....
