Warning: Major SPOILERS for A Quiet Place ahead - John Krasinski’s gripping horror film A Quiet Place portrays a family’s fight to survive in a world full of monsters that hunt by sound. Lee (Krasinski) and Evelyn (Emily Blunt) communicate with their children Marcus (Noah Jupe) and Regan (Millicent Simmonds) using sign language, walk around barefoot, and have carefully built their lives around silence. Meanwhile, Lee is doing everything he can to find out more about the creatures that hunt them - and the movie’s ending comes with a reveal that could save them all....

Warning: SPOILERS ahead for A Series of Unfortunate Events season 3 - A Series of Unfortunate Events season 2 is full of mysteries, but perhaps the two biggest questions relate to the nature of the secret organization called V.F.D., and the importance of a certain sugar bowl. This season sees the Baudelaires once again shuffled from one guardian to the next, with Count Olaf always close behind, but after the mid-season two-parter “The Vile Village” things go off the rails, as the orphans are falsely accused of murder and have to go on the lam....

The time travel in season 5 of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. seemed relatively straightforward: the Agents were abducted and sent 78 years into the future via a Kree Monolith, where they were prophesied to save the world. (Fitz later joined them by taking ’the long way’ - cryogenically freezing himself.) This week’s episode ‘The Last Day’ complicated matters by introducing flashbacks which indicate that our heroes did already travel back in time to prevent Earth’s destruction - and couldn’t....

The Internet has been abuzz lately with excitement over comments from Microsoft suggesting that their games – both Windows and Xbox One – may in future allow gamers to play multiplayer titles against other players on different platforms. This would mean that someone playing a multiplayer game on Xbox would be able to play against a friend playing on PC or, if Sony were to allow it, on PS4. The 5G aviation dispute between the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on one side and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) plus carriers on the other appears to have been resolved… Background The situation is an odd one. The FCC granted approval for the expansion of 5G into an additional spectrum known as C-band. The FAA subsequently objected, stating that it posed a risk to aircraft, claiming that it could cause interference with the radio altimeter equipment used to tell pilots how high their aircraft is above the ground during the final approach and landing....

As part of a rebranding strategy, Morgan Creek is exploring the possibility of rebooting classic properties like Ace Ventura and Major League. This comes at a time where every production company and major studio around is trying desperately to mine its own back catalog in search of a future hit. Marvel Television and ABC made the surprise move earlier this year to bring Ghost Rider to season 4 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. While the decision was initially questioned, it has proven to be one of the best things the show has done so far. Instead of highlighting the more well-known versions of the character, Gabriel Luna was brought on board to portray the lesser known Robbie Reyes iteration. The good superhero stories are the ones that focus on more than the explosions and colorful tights. When we start to focus on the human side of the hero, we also start to relate to him or her. A lot of times this means including a romantic interest that the audience can cheer and swoon over.
