Four movies - a DCEU entry, a Transformers spinoff, an anime adaptation and a Sherlock Holmes reimagining - are currently competing for the same December 2018 release weekend. Since Star Wars returned to the big screen in 2015 with Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the franchise has dominated the Christmas window. However, with three massive end-of-year hits behind them, Disney/Lucasfilm is approaching 2018 a little bit differently. They’re taking a gamble on a May release date, and leaving multiple other films fighting over the increasingly crowded weekend of December 21....

Now that Spider-Man: Far From Home and Avengers: Endgame have made their mark on theaters, the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is about to begin. Both films bring huge changes to the series and tease many more to come. What Marvel movies could we possibly see in the next few years? It’s hard to say for sure just yet, but we have some preferences. While the Black Widow film is in production, there are a handful of projects waiting in silence while the rumor mill takes hold....

Adam McKay began his career in comedy, serving as the head writer on Saturday Night Live for two seasons, and then directing comedies such as Anchorman, Talladega Nights, and Step Brothers. He took a more dramatic turn with The Big Short, a film about the 2007-2008 financial crisis. It garnered him multiple award nominations including the Academy Award for Best Director. As Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. heads towards next week’s two-hour season 6 finale, it unexpectedly brought back a season 5 character: Flint (Coy Stewart).
