Tarkin. It’s a name that inspired dread in rebels and freedom fighters in that beloved galaxy “far, far away.” And it’s a performance by the late Peter Cushing that left an indelible mark on the now decades-old Star Wars saga. Cushing imbued Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin with a cold, calculated menace that allowed him to hold his own in scenes with Darth Vader himself. In fact, in that original film, it is Tarkin, not Vader, who is the true face of the Empire’s evil, and its relentless efforts to snuff out all resistance in the galaxy....

Either way, there’s no denying the major influence Petyr “Littlefinger” Baelish has had on the other characters from Game of Thrones — and mostly for their detriment. It saw Coulson and his team hunt down an Asgardian staff weapon. Anyone who wielded this staff became a berserker, and it was being used to cause riots in Scandinavia. Holding a third of the staff left Ward tortured by visions of his past; impressively, although the episode teased Ward’s demons, it somehow still avoided revealing his greatest secrets....

Batman has always been the type of character who can adapt to any situation. He is an expert fighter, tactician, and detective who can seem to overcome any obstacle. However, he’s also known for his many gadgets and advanced technologies that are as deadly as they are sure to have “Bat” in front of their name. With many suits, there are also several different functions for each of them. Long-time gaming icon Atari has announced a reimagining of their classic arcade hit for mobile devices and aims to release Missile Command: Recharged this spring in celebration of the original game’s 40th anniversary. The company has been making some noise with their crowdfunded Atari VCS console, Atari video game-themed hotels, branded merchandise, and cameo appearances in films such as Blade Runner 2049 and the Wreck-It Ralph series. Agent Carter executive producers would love to revive the TV series at ABC. The Marvel Cinematic Universe officially began with Jon Favreau’s Iron Man in 2008, but it wasn’t until Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. premiered on ABC in 2013 that Marvel Studios had expanded the groundbreaking shared universe onto the small screen. Two years later, the broadcast network debuted its second comic book TV series, Agent Carter, with Hayley Atwell reprising her cinematic role as the eponymous character....

When Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. premiered in 2013, it brought with it a handful of brand new Marvel characters. Though they were created for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Jemma Simmons, Leo Fitz, Melinda May, and Grant Ward have all gone on to appear in Marvel Comics since. On an ensemble series like Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., it can be difficult for every single character to get the same amount of backstory. Sometimes, comic books can fill in some of the blanks....
