After years of female superheroes being overlooked by directors and producers, 2016 is shaping up to be a breakout year for female heroes (and villains) of every sort. It’s no secret that many in the film industry have voiced skepticism about the marketability of female protagonists. Female-led comic book movies like Catwoman and Elektra have frequently been brought up as proof of this idea, ignoring the fact that those movies were just plain bad, regardless of lead’s gender....

Marvel Studios announces Teyonah Parris will be adult Monica Rambeau in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and debut in WandaVision. Marvel Studios is always setting up future stories and characters, and that is exactly what they did with Monica Rambeau. She was featured in a small role as a child in Captain Marvel earlier this year, while her mother, Maria Rambeau (Lashana Lynch), received the larger part. However, fans of Marvel Comics know that Monica had the potential for a bright future in the MCU if Marvel Studios decided to explore it....

Season 5 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will once again see the series looking backwards as it moves forward. As season 4 of SHIELD headed into its last story pod, the show used the Framework to pull back in past elements from the series.
