Since 2007, Nathan Drake has been our modern Indiana Jones, climbing brick walls and fighting bad guys for ancient artifacts. But what made Nathan so interesting was his personality. The creators didn’t want a cardboard cutout of a stereotypical action hero; instead, they created someone with a distinct personality. On his adventures, Nathan would always make sarcastic remarks about the crappy situations he’s in and even expresses fear at certain things....

Making a Murderer, the new Netflix docu-series about Steven Avery, has been making headlines since its release on Netflix in December. The series lays out the criminal history (or lack thereof) of Avery, who believes that he was wrongfully convicted, and who remains in prison to this day. Viewers of the series have been taking to the internet to express outrage over Steven’s story, some even going so far as to send threatening messages to the officers involved in the case....

Recently, we shared an article about ten things Legends of Tomorrow– the third in the line of DC comic book adaptations on The CW – needs to do in order to be successful in the long-term. A lot of different factors go into making a video game work, but few aspects of development are as important as nailing the characters. It’s entirely possible for a game to have an absolute train wreck of a story, but if the characters are all likable and well-realized, then most gamers will probably want to keep playing. If you don’t know the name Thom Beers, you definitely know his work– he has been one of modern reality television’s most prolific producers, creating such hit TV shows as Deadliest Catch, Monster Garage, Ax Men, and Storage Wars. One of his currently longest-running productions is Discovery Channel’s Bering Sea Gold, which has now been on the air for 80 episodes cross nine seasons (and counting). Hoping to replicate the success of Deadliest Catch (for which Beers is a two-time Emmy nominee), the producer looked to another industry where people make their living out on the open sea....

Despite the perceived reputation, no genre is better than horror at making sequels. One activist group is hoping to turn moviegoers into voters with a new campaign aimed at fans of Black Panther. Dubbed #WakandaTheVote, the new effort by the Electoral Justice Project (EJP) has placed recruiters dressed in Wakanda-inspired costumes in movie theaters around the United States this weekend to share information on the importance of voting and how people can become registered to vote if they are not already. An off-shoot of the Movement For Black Lives (MBL), the Electoral Justice Project was founded by Kayla Reed, Jessica Byrd and Rukia Lumumba in October 2017....

MTV has a reboot of Aeon Flux in the works; the beloved ‘90s animated series will see new life as a live-action TV show from Teen Wolf showrunner Jeff Davis. The original Aeon Flux aired on MTV, premiering on the network’s avant-garde animation program, Liquid Television, in 1991. This eventually led to a series of its own, as well as a video game, comics and a feature film. The cartoon was created by Peter Chung, who had previously worked on Rugrats....

From the start of Marvel’s venture onto television, Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb has continued to promote the several shows he’s producing by using #ItsAllConnected. The phrase started as a response to whether or not any of Marvel’s shows exist in the same universe as the films, but the legitimacy of it has started to come into question....
