This week, The Lonely Island’s opus Popstar: Never Stop Never Stoppingintroduces yet another such personality. The latest episode of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 6, “Fear and Loathing on the Planet of Kitson,” saw Simmons come within a hair’s breadth of reuniting with her beloved Fitz - and raised several questions about some brand new villains. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. hurtles toward the final stretch of season 5 with a new trailer for “The One Who Will Save Us All.” Time is ticking away for S.H.I.E.L.D. to save Earth from being cracked into pieces at the hands of HYRDA and other evil forces. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 5 has come to a dramatic close, with Quake successfully defeating Graviton and saving the Earth. It was a tremendous victory, achieved because the episode gave Daisy a significant power-up. S.H.I.E.L.D.’s fifth season saw the showrunners toying with the audience’s expectations. Time and again they dropped hints and clues, only to pivot away from them. Will Daisy become the Destroyer of Worlds, or will Ruby? In the end, neither was; the real Destroyer of Worlds was actually General Talbot, a twist that slipped under everybody’s radar even though he started dressing in blue and bearing a Graviton beard well before he was exposed to Gravitonium....
HBO revolutionized modern television by making fantasy appealing to mainstream audiences with its mega-hit series, Game Of Thrones. While many shows since then have tried to capitalize on the Game Of Thrones fever, few have defied that by becoming famous outside of the HBO hype train. When CW announced a Charmed reboot was on the way, fans of the original series had mixed feelings. It hadn’t been that long since the original went off the air, and it was still available to watch on streaming sites. Did fans really need another story about a trio of witchy sisters? Some fans were ecstatic to see a new version of Charmed Ones for a new generation. Others thought the original series was better left untouched....
