Given the massive success Marvel is having on both the big and small screen, there’s a HUGE scramble to take a look through their enormous back-catalogue of characters and adapt them to fit into the ever-growing cinematic universe. Given their rich history and unique standing within the comic book universe, it’s natural that Cloak and Dagger would find their way to the screen eventually. 21 and 22 Jump Street co-director Phil Lord says 24 Jump Street (not 23 Jump Street) is currently in development. Lord and his trusted collaborator Chris Miller have made a career out of working on films that seem like a bad idea in the beginning, but end up being far more successful than anticipated (well, the complicated situation with Solo: A Star Wars Story aside). That trend began with 2012’s 21 Jump Street, a movie that re-imagined the ’80s drama series about police officers going undercover in high school as a self-reflexive buddy cop action-comedy starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum....

2018’s Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse was not only a massive feat in animation and a revolutionary superhero movie, but it was also a critically-acclaimed and universally beloved film that is setting up an entire cinematic universe on its own. Despite the fact that the Into The Spider-Verse sequel is yet unnamed, fans have already begun to speculate about which characters might come into the fold next. While the recent news that the Into The Spider-Verse sequel will focus on Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy’s romance doesn’t inform us much about which characters will be featured in the movie, we can certainly infer that the film will focus even less on Peter Parker and more on other Spider-People that Marvel has created over the years....

ABC made the right decision to cancel Roseanne after its star Roseanne Barr’s most recent bout of bigoted Twitter comments. ABC’s reboot of Roseanne has been a commercial and critical hit. Its season premiere was watched by 18.44m viewers and became the network’s highest-rated comedy show on any night in over three years (although ratings did fall over the remaining weeks). Outside of The Big Bang Theory, it became the biggest comedy on ABC....

SPOILERS for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. “Rise and Shine” ahead The latest episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., “Rise and Shine,” has finally revealed the history of General Hale and how Hydra fits into the Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline. Introduced nine episodes ago, Hale has been a mysterious figure who plagued the S.H.I.E.L.D. team. Fans eventually learned that Hale is actually an agent of Hydra, a last survivor of Talbot’s purge two years ago....

Listings for AirTags with deactivated speakers have been spotted on eBay and Etsy. This removes one of the two anti-stalking features Apple built into the tracking devices. One seller claimed that the modification was done for innocent purposes … Background Apple gave AirTags two privacy features, designed to prevent them from being used by stalkers, or by thieves who might want to track a vehicle or other property they plan to steal later....

There’s more to love in the world of Harry Potter than just the magic and the whimsy. The story itself is captivating; seeing all of the subplots and details fit together nice and neatly is like a literary jigsaw puzzle. It’s just one of the many reasons to love the series. But a big part of what makes Harry Potter so memorable is the characters, especially Albus Dumbledore. The headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry; the Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot; discoverer of the Twelve Uses of Dragon’s Blood; beholder of three middle names… Dumbledore is an intriguing guy all around, but is he as perfect as we’d all like to believe?...

In Avengers: Endgame, Bruce Banner finally manages to control the raging beast inside of him. He now has the ability to live as the Hulk indefinitely, while still maintaining his human compsure. This changes the game considerably, as Banner no longer has to worry about losing control and going nuts while in Hulk mode. It also introduced the internet to one of the funniest memes to come out of the MCU, and perhaps the biggest meme of the year so far....

Doctor Who Series 11 certainly had its naysayers, but without a doubt, it offered a brand-new storytelling lens for the program moving forward. One of the more prominent critiques was the lack of returning creatures, monsters, and characters. Not all superheroes are created equal, and the same rule applies for their sidekicks. For every Robin, Batgirl and Harley Quinn, there are about a dozen or so sidekicks nobody really cares about. Supporting characters are there in film to move the protagonist’s tale forward to some form of satisfying conclusion, and for the most part, that’s exactly how they’ve functioned over the years. However, in some cases, the “support” can take over for the lead star and steer the ship themselves. Consequently, you may end up wanting to spend more time with them than the film’s supposed hero. While we’re sure there are more than just 13 Supporting Characters Who Took Over Their Movie, the following selections represent memorable players, who, either through the needs of the narrative or the strength of their performances, made their flicks all about them, and made us love them for it....

Just about everyone on the planet has at least heard of the famous Japanese shōjo anime series Sailor Moon, the show based off of Naoko Takeuchi’s manga series from the early nineties. At the height of Sailor Moon’s popularity, we were bombarded with five seasons of anime, a live-action series, television specials, movies, toys, trading cards, video games, and even musicals based on the world’s most famous teenaged guardian. Now, we have a modern-day reboot of the original series with Sailor Moon Crystal....

[Update: Xbox One VR confirmed by developer!] Surprising absolutely no one, Microsoft has a new version of the Xbox One in development that will be announced next month at E3 2016. We already know unofficially that a similar thing is happening on the Sony front with a new, more powerful and 4K-ready PlayStation 4 (codenamed “Neo”) as well. On the Xbox front however, there’s yet another Xbox model coming slightly further down the line according the latest insider leaks, and from what we know about it, the earlier conflicting reports about whether or not the next Xbox would be a new console or an incremental upgrade now make more sense....

Fallout 76 released in the middle of November and, frankly, it is a turning out to be a monumental disaster. Bethesda is infamous for launching buggy games, but this new entry into the legendary franchise is on a whole other level. Frame rate drops, crashes, and other oddities aside, the core game leaves much to be desired. The world is bigger than ever, but it feels empty and pointless for many players....

There are a lot of movies out there and only so much brain power to devote to all of ’em. Besides which, sometimes films that come out within a few years of each other are really, really similar - either because there’s just something in the air that makes more than one producer think “yes, now is the time for a comedy about a hapless cop teamed up with a disobedient dog” - or because Hollywood can be a really small town, and people talk, and sometimes decide the best way to compete with another person’s movie is to release more or less the same one, just a little bit better or sooner....
