In the 2000s, edgy teen dramas truly hit their zenith. With ridiculously soapy love triangles, shocking betrayals, and even the occasional murder, television for teens was darker and more addictive than ever. Beginning in 2004, however, one show entered the scene and proved itself willing to get darker than any of its contemporaries: the UPN (and, eventually, CW) series Veronica Mars. The series followed the life of a hard-boiled teenage private eye with plenty of emotional trauma and baggage to boot....

If you haven’t been infected by The Walking Dead yet, there’s a good chance you are already a zombie. Or don’t have a TV. The 2018 Annual Golden Globe nominations have been officially revealed, as presented by Kristen Bell, Garrett Hedlund, Alfre Woodard, and Sharon Stone. The frontrunners with the most nominations include The Shape of Water, The Post, and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, but it’s difficult to tell where voters will lean. Get Out, which was released all the way back in February, has been one of the mainstream favorites in contention, but only managed to earn 2 nominations, while The Florida Project only earned a Best Supporting Actor nod for Willem Dafoe....

Do your friends and family keep asking you why your notifications are silenced? If you’re not actually using a Focus mode like Do Not Disturb, this is probably a head-scratcher for you. The rebooted Star Trek series introduced a ton of changes to the well established science-fiction franchise. When a person abruptly cuts off all forms of communication with someone else and doesn’t respond to the other person’s attempts to reach them, it’s called ‘Ghosting.’ Though the term first appeared in the mid-2000s, it’s gotten more attention with the prevalence of social media and dating apps. So MTV decided to spotlight this phenomenon with the show Ghosted: Love Gone Missing. Released last year, it’s a spinoff of MTV’s popular Catfish show but with two different hosts: Rachel Lindsay from TheBachelorette and music artist Travis Mills....

When it began in 2011, Once Upon a Time promised to bring in all manner of fairy tale characters into the fictional town of Storybrooke, Maine. But over the years, it has grown into exercise in intellectual property usage. Because it airs on the Disney-owned ABC, Once Upon A Time has the licensing to utilize whatever characters from Disney canon it would like. Ten years after its inception, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is still going strong.
