Nicolas Cage has some unfinished business to deal with in a clip from his upcoming action-thriller, A Score to Settle. Over the nearly-four decades since Cage started appearing in films, he’s brought his bravado acting style to multiple now-classic comedies, won an Oscar, led a successful run as a ’90s action movie star, and appeared in all manner of low-budget genre fare. Just last year alone, he starred in the cult hit Mandy and voiced both Superman and Spider-Man Noir in the animated Teen Titans Go!...

It’s less than a week since a succession of record highs saw Apple stock close in at $150, but investors have seen AAPL slide to $142.45 in the past few days. AAPL hit $149.76 on July 15 before starting a decline that accelerated yesterday … AAPL has enjoyed a succession of 30 record highs between April and July this year, with three of them in a single week. However, the Delta variant of COVID-19 has raised fresh concerns about the economy, setting off a global slide in share prices, reports the Financial Times....

Filming for season 6 of ABC’s Marvel series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. just wrapped earlier this month, but an exclusive report suggests that season 7 could begin production as early as February 2019. One of the more popular Marvel spinoffs, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. received renewal for its seventh season back in November. Premiering in September 2013 and using the success of The Avengers as a launchpad, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was the first television series to come directly from the Marvel Cinematic Universe....

For network heads, Upfronts Week is an exciting time where they get to present their great new shows to eager audiences. For viewers and show-runners alike, it’s a hectic period where something you’ve invested in could easily be gone in the blink of an eye. Take ABC, which essentially recreated Game of Thrones’ “Red Wedding” scene when it mercilessly chopped up its lineup with cancellation orders for shows like Castle, Blood & Oil and Wicked City....

Back in 2011, FOX didn’t have quite the impressive comedy slate that it currently does. When news hit that a comedy starring Zooey Deschanel would be debuting on the network, many people were skeptical of the merits of this program. The value of good casting in the Marvel Cinematic Universe should not be underestimated. So, to suit the light tone of their movies, it’s very important that Marvel Studios cast the right people in each role....

AEW (All Elite Wrestling) officially launched as a company with May’s Double or Nothing event, and here’s what they can do to become a true competitor to WWE. From the mid-1980s to the early-1990s, the then-WWF first rose to national prominence on the back of Hulkamania, while their main competitor, the NWA, was dominated by Ric Flair. By the mid-1990s, the NWA had morphed into the Ted Turner-owned WCW, and the outlaw ECW promotion had also become another challenger to Vince McMahon’s pro wrestling throne....

[This is a review of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 4, episode 14. There will be SPOILERS.] – Although the first run of episodes in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 4 focused almost entirely on the incorporation of Robbie Reyes, aka Ghost Rider (Gabriel Luna) – with some spotlight on the anti-Inhuman movement – the second batch of episodes has been more twisty. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is currently operating under the subtitle of LMD, short for Life Model Decoy, but the anti-Inhuman work of Senator Ellen Nadeer (Parminder Nagra), the Watchdogs, and their leader The Superior (Zach McGowan) has arguably been more of a focus in recent episodes....

Where season 1 of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. saw Agent Coulson and his team battling Hydra and season 2 introduced Inhumans, season 3 is connecting it all together while getting a little cosmic. The first half of season 3 saw a key character stranded for months on an alien world that we’ve come to know as Maveth, once home to an advanced civilization now seemingly extinct. As we learned in the midseason finale episode, this strange planet that never sees the light of day, may also be the origin point of Hydra....

Chloe Bennet, star of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., has revealed that season 6 will begin production sometime this coming week. After months of speculation, ABC finally announced that Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. had been renewed for season 6 in May. The showrunners had been uncertain whether or not the series would be renewed, deliberately creating an ending to season 5 that they felt could potentially serve as a series finale. Film buffs continue to be mixed on the use of CGI in film. On one hand, it can be revolutionary, creating new worlds as big and as wondrous as the imagination of the people envisioning it. On the other hand, it’s replacing the amazing and dedicated craft of practical sets and effects. Those can add a sense of realism to the audience at times. Where the debate really heats up is between the creation of CGI characters or “make-up” over the use of practical make-up effects....
