Powerful engines, harsh weather, and steep drop-offs are only a few of the elements that have defined Highway Thru Hell. The Canadian docuseries, which premiered in 2012, follows the daily operations of tow truckers working in British Columbia. A big part of the show takes place along the Coquihalla Highway, a 201-mile stretch of road that connects Vancouver to the Canadian Rockies. As the Coquihalla rises into the mountains, temperatures dwindle and driving conditions worsen....

It’s now been more than a month since Avengers: Infinity War was released in theaters. Now that the shock has worn off and the initial heated debates about its implications have died down, we can start looking ahead to what might come next for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, we don’t want to look ahead at Phase 4, we want to really look ahead to Phase 5. We already know some of what Marvel has greenlit for Phase 4: we’ve got sequels for Spider-Man: Homecoming, Black Panther, and Doctor Strange in the pipeline, as well as a last Guardians of the Galaxy movie to finish out the trilogy....

Marvel and the Fox-owned Marvel properties are absolutely killing it right now, with the exception of the Fantastic Four. One of their main problems (if there’s any to begin with) has to do with the villains. Daredevil is one of Marvel’s oldest and most successful characters. Daredevil was the perfect character to headline the Netflix stable of Marvel superheroes for serialized television. For one thing, he didn’t have crazy superpowers that would require crazy special effects the way, say Avengers: Infinity War had. A year ago, Daredevil was just another failed movie from the awkward pre-teen years of the cinematic superhero boom. Over the past decade, Marvel has been the leading company when it comes to superhero flicks. While other genres tend to be rigid and conventional, sci-fi movies are constantly pushing the boundaries of plot structures and visual storytelling. Some of the most memorable movies ever made are sci-fi films. One reason for this is that sci-fi movies are never afraid to throw in wild plot twists over the course of their storylines....

Hundreds of video games are released every year, to varying degrees of critical and commercial acceptance. Some sell like hotcakes, others crash and burn.
