This second season of the hit CW series The Flash turned out to be pretty astounding overall, one with no shortage of memorable moments for fans of the Fastest Man Alive. The showrunners at times went for broke, diving deep into the Scarlet Speedster’s mythos when it came to time travel and parallel worlds. But perhaps more importantly, the show also took the time to develop its stellar cast of characters, giving them room to grow while the plot was busy taking on a life of its own....

It seems that almost every movie that’s packaged as a Blu-ray or DVD is treated to an “Extended Cut” or “Unrated” version. What that usually means is that the movie is jammed with unneeded scenes that do more harm than good. Often, there’s a good reason for footage to wind up on the cutting room floor, but not always. Occasionally there is that rare example where an Extended version of a movie will come closer to showing the audience the director’s true vision of the movie, elevating the original to new heights....

Game of Thrones is one of the biggest shows on television – literally. 12 Strong works as a tribute to the real-life American heroes who lived it, but is an overall generic war film without much substance. The latest film from veteran Hollywood producer Jerry Bruckheimer, 12 Strong marks the feature film debut for director Nicolai Fuglsig. It tells the true story of a declassified mission from the outset of America’s war on terror, in which a small group of soldiers were among the first deployed to Afghanistan to fight back against the Taliban....

However, it had a smaller budget than many of the big-name superhero movies produced today. The original Deadpool movie had a budget of $58 million and Deadpool 2 screenwriter Paul Wernick cites that the new movie’s budget was only slightly larger. Compare this to the $1 billion budgeted for both Avengers: Infinity War and the untitled Avengers 4 movie, or the $300 million budgeted for Justice League, and you realize that Deadpool 2 did a lot with very little....

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim puts players into the horned helmet of the Dovahkiin hero and sets them off on a quest to save the world from an ancient and powerful dragon– and they got to that eventually. However, there are many diversions that play against the urgency of the main mission. Legend says that the villain, Alduin, already ended the world once, and he plans to do it again....

Tim Rose, who portrayed Admiral Ackbar in multiple Star Wars films, says he was disappointed by the character’s death in The Last Jedi. As many people know by now, Rian Johnson’s entry in the Skywalker saga proved to be one of the most divisive studio tentpoles in recent memory when it premiered in December 2017. Sometimes it can be difficult to innovate a tried and tested action-platformer like the Trine series, but based on a gameplay presentation of Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince at E3 2019, it certainly looks like developer Frozenbyte is on the right track.
