It was an intense experience featuring at times claustrophobic moments, and an overall well-made addition to the found-footage film movement. Its sequel of sorts, 10 Cloverfield Lane, shrinks the scale of the film down, creating an oppressive, Lifeboat-esque story which plays against the backdrop of a perceived apocalyptic event outside the bunker doors....

While reshoots are often seen as a sign a production is in trouble, the reality is that most big movies have them in some form or another. The filmmakers might want to add a scene clarifying a plot point, or rework an action sequence to make it bigger, and most of the time, the movies benefit from the added footage. Given how many movies and television shows have been produced within it, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has a pretty good track record when it comes to casting only the best of the best talent. This often requires searching high and low for the cream of the crop in Hollywood, sometimes seeking out relative newcomers, all while preserving the integrity of the Marvel characters. Maybe MCU projects aren’t exactly out there winning acting award after acting award, but on the whole, they’ve done a great job of ensuring the right person plays the right part....
A Way Out developer Josef Fares has talked about Roger Ebert’s views on video games as art, refuting the critic’s views on the medium as a whole. Ebert stirred up controversy in in 2010, when he stated that “video games cannot be art,” and his article on the matter opened up a discussion on the matter and whether video games as a whole could ever be considered art. This view has grown more outdated by the year, and some of the work Fares has created certainly points towards video games as art....

When Disney bought Lucasfilm and acquired the rights to make their own Star Wars movies, they also acquired the rights to make their own Indiana Jones films. While a fifth Indy movie is in development with Steven Spielberg directing and Harrison Ford in the role, there isn’t much longevity in that. Ford is 76 years old, so we can’t expect many more Indy movies from him. The movie is a stylish and thought-provoking entry into the heist genre. It addresses interesting and heavy topics while still providing solid thrills....
