The first After movie trailer is released, teasing the big screen adaptation of Anna Todd’s same-named novel. After joins the very small group of films produced by Hollywood that are adapted from novels, the stories of which originally started off as fanfiction for popular franchises or personalities. This group also includes Cassandra Clare’s Mortal Instruments - which many fans believe to be inspired by her Harry Potter fanfiction - that has been adapted into not only a movie but a TV show, Freeform’s Shadowhunters....

With iPadOS 16, Apple announced multiple new features that are exclusive to iPads based on the M1 chip, such as Stage Manager for running apps in windows and also virtual memory swap for the first time on an iOS device. Interestingly, while memory swapping is reportedly one of the requirements to have Stage Manager, it turns out that the base model iPad Air 5 lacks this capability. For those unfamiliar, virtual memory swap is a feature often used by computers to reallocate some storage as virtual RAM when the computer’s actual RAM is already being fully utilized by the system and apps....

These give fans everything they could want or need when it comes to more nuanced portrayals of love. 10 Things I Hate About You, changed the face of romantic comedies forever, and newer Rom-Coms like Netflix’s To All The Boys I Loved Before showed realistic teen romance with normal teen problems while still having compelling plotlines and secrets....

The HBO series Sex and the City is still hailed as one of the best sitcoms with an all-female ensemble cast. From cosmopolitans to fancy shoes and designer clothing, Sex and the City’s legacy has continued on since the series went off the air. Spider-Man is one of the most recognizable superheroes in the world, often acting as the unofficial mascot for Marvel Comics. Back in March, the cast and crew of Captain America: Civil War had a nice little Tumblr Q&A session with Buzzfeed’s online community. Fans had a field day, asking hard questions that deserved hard answers. The stars did their part, accessing archaic and powerful knowledge of Marvel Lore to stun fans. Robert Downey Jr. mentioned that his Iron Man suit could use “a feather boa around the midriff;” it was all great stuff....

TV writers learned long ago that a great way to get an audience to react in a major way is by killing off a character. It shakes up the storylines, keeps fans emotionally invested, and reminds everyone of how high the stakes are. The only downside is that it gets rid of a character that writers and fans alike have become too invested in. And thus we were given the fake-out death: cutting away from a character just as it looks like there’s no way they could possibly survive— only they somehow do....
