[Warning: SPOILERS ahead for the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 4 premiere.]

After months of waiting, Ghost Rider (Gabriel Luna) finally made his debut in the MCU in the season 4 premiere for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Previous concerns over the look of the character and how effectively the design would be used on a TV budget were all but squashed, with his scenes being a standout from the episode. One of those scenes in particular was a fight between Quake and Ghost Rider, which ended with Ghost Rider as the clear winner. Granted, Daisy (Chloe Bennet) was not prepared for a fight and was without her gauntlets, but this was only the beginning to their interactions.

The promo for the next Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode, ‘Meet the New Boss’, teases another encounter between the characters, which pointed to scenes previously shown in leaked set videos. Now, the build up to the fight has been released, with Robbie Reyes taking a similar approach as Hulk to intimidate possible opponents.

Marvel released the above clip from ‘Meet the New Boss’, wherein Daisy visits Robbie at work to learn more about the newest “enhanced” being in her life. Daisy has clearly been using her computer skills to learn as much as she could about his past, but Robbie wants none of it. Instead of taking a subtle approach to get Daisy to leave him alone, he resorts to threatening what his “anger” will allow him to do.

The fight being teased is not likely too far off in terms of when it happens in the actual episode itself, but for now fans will have to wait a few more days to see it in action. It should be interesting to watch how Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. handles Ghost Rider’s arc throughout the season, as he has no real business working with the S.H.I.E.L.D. organization. Daisy may not yet be working with her old team either, but it would be a surprise to many viewers if that doesn’t change sooner than later.

It is clear that the new S.H.I.E.L.D. Director, played by Jason O’Mara, has an agenda that includes capturing or killing all enhanced people that are not following the Sokovia Accords, so it could be some time before he learns to trust them enough to form a partnership. Viewers are still waiting to even find out what his name is and how he connects to some of the oldest Marvel comics, so any cooperation between the two sides could be a few weeks away. Either way, the second episode should shine more light on not only the new Director, but also Robbie and how he will be used in the show’s larger story moving forward.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. continues next Tuesday with ‘Meet the New Boss’ @10pm on ABC.
