90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days cast member Darcey Silva is back on for season 3 of the show, but this time with a new foreign fiancé. Fans of the show know Darcey from her previous and horribly rocky relationship with Amsterdam native, Jesse Meester, from season 1 and 2.
TLC followed this mother of two who left everything behind in America to go to Amsterdam to meet her long-distance boyfriend, Jesse. Once there, the obvious differences between Jesse and her became all too apparent to the viewers. From the start, Darcey longed for affection and attention, while it seemed the more stoic Jesse wished for a more independent woman. As Darcey waited for Jesse’s marriage proposal, viewers watched as their relationship declined before she ever received an engagement ring. The couple broke up for good after a fight that ended their relationship in New York City. Since then, Darcey told 90 Day Fiancé: Live host Shaun Robinson that Jesse was recently trying to reconnect with her, but maintained that she had no interest in trying again with him. Fans now can begin to understand the reasoning behind Darcey moving on so quickly - perhaps it was due to falling in love with another man.
According to the new trailer for season 3 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days (via: Reality TV World), Darcey is newly engaged to entrepreneur and London native, Tom Brooks. In the video, the couple is seen floating down the River Thames on a boat drinking champagne, and she says, “I feel like I am in a fairytale.” So far, all that viewers know of Tom is that he hails from England, that he’s the commercial director for women’s fitness brand LaBelle Mafia, and is the owner of London gym brand, Fit Nation.
However, fans are skeptical that this seemingly idyllic relationship with posh Londoner Tom is going to last, as the trailer gave away some clues of how Tom’s temperament contradicts Darcey’s. In the clip, Darcey is seen crying and saying, “No one’s ever paid attention to me like that;” while Tom is seen talking to the producers, saying, “Darcey is a very emotional person. Something I don’t particularly find attractive.”
Many fans are raving about what an upgrade Tom is from her ex, Jesse, as their happy relationship was made public on Instagram. However, shortly after the deluge of pictures made their debut on the couple’s Instagrams, they have since each cleared all signs of each other from their pages and continued only posting pictures of themselves (see Tom’s post above) - he most likely reason being that TLC wanted to keep viewers guessing the status of their relationship before season 3 airs on TLC. It did, however, cause a lot of fans to speculate that the couple has, in fact, broken up. Based off of the short clip, it looks like the emotional Darcey has a pattern of falling in love with unsentimental men who loathe emotion. We will have to wait and see if Darcey and her new man, Tom, will make it all the way to the altar, hopefully with only happy tears.
