Avengers: Infinity War is the movie we’ve all been waiting for. After six years of teasing, we’re finally introduced to the Mad Titan himself. However, he might not be the menacing villain who we all imagined him to be.

Thanos is expected to finally get off his chair and bring destruction and chaos with him. He’s out to collect all six Infinity Stones so that he can destroy half of the universe. However, as always, the Avengers are assembling themselves and getting ready for the battle of their lives.

Therefore, Infinity War will be an all-out war to decide the fate of the universe. On the side of good, we have the Avengers, who will be bigger and stronger than they’ve ever been before.

With the Guardians of the Galaxy on their side, the once leaderless team will join forces to truly become Earth’s mightiest heroes.

Then, there’s the side of evil. The leader, Thanos, is a heart-broken man who simply wants to impress his unrequited love with some shiny jewelry. Everyone else in his life has failed him and he’s now out to “do it himself.”

However, is his new CGI and grape-looking face enough to take down the mighty Avengers? These memes say no.

So, prepare the tissues and the puppy dog eyes, because here are the 25 Avengers Memes That Show Thanos Is Doomed.

The Avengers Won’t Let Thanos Take Away Shawarma

What’s the one thing that banded the Avengers together in The Avengers (2012)? While most people would say it was the loss of Phil Coulson, you could also argue that it was something else – the shawarma.

After saving the world and defeating the Chitauri invasion, Iron Man suggests that they all celebrate by trying shawarma.

Therefore, during the end-credit scene, the entire squad comes together to eat and showcase their newly created team. From this moment on, the shawarma became a symbol of the Avengers’ creation and their ability to save the world.

However, Thanos is threatening the world and all the shawarma in it.

So, the Avengers will definitely fight hard to protect their precious shawarma and the team that it created.

Thanos better watch out because you don’t mess with the Avengers’ shawarma and live to tell the tale.

Thanos is Nothing Without the Infinity Gauntlet

After cutting a ferry in half and risking the lives of everyone he was trying to save, Spider-Man was chastised by Iron Man in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Stark took the Iron Spider Suit and told Peter that if he’s nothing without the suit, then he shouldn’t have it.

Well, Thanos is in a similar situation. He needs the Infinity Gauntlet to combine the Infinity Stones to create infinite destruction and chaos. Without the gauntlet and all the infinity stones, he can’t complete his ultimate mission in Infinity War.

Therefore, all the Avengers have to do is take the gauntlet from him.

Although that’s easier said than done, maybe Tony Stark can go super-dad on the Mad Titan and simply order him to give it up.

Stark was the first person to ever use the completed gauntlet in the comics, so it seems like he has the right to take it back.

The Best Thanos Can Do Is Two

As you probably know, there are six Infinity Stones that provide their wielders with complete mastery over one aspect of the universe. Each of these stones holds immense power, but when put together, they produce ultimate supremacy.

Thanos is out to collect each of these stones so that he can destroy the universe as we know it. However, based on the trailers, it seems like Thanos is only ever able to get two of them. The Mad Titan can’t complete his mission with only a third of the stones.

Not only is the meme making fun of Thanos’ inability to collect the stones, but it’s also referring to the running gag that Thanos resembles Rich from Pawn Stars. Just like Rich, Thanos is out to collect gems and some say they even look alike.

Therefore, in the meme, Thanos is haggling over the Infinity Stones, just like Rich would in Pawn Stars.

Earth’s Mightiest Heroes Can Take Down a Grape

Infinity War is the movie we’ve all been waiting for. We will see Earth’s mightiest heroes clash it out against… a very angry grape?

When the final Infinity War trailer was released, we saw an emotional scene. There was music blaring, explosions everywhere, and the Avengers potentially losing hope.

Then, in the middle of all this chaos and destruction was the almighty Mad Titan.

However, fans have been quick to point out that Thanos looks more like a dried-up, angry grape than a terrifying villain capable of all the destruction and doom portrayed in the trailer.

This has caused the fans to create many memes across the Internet comparing Thanos to purple things such as the McDonald’s Grimace and a bald purple mannequin.

So, how can Thanos defeat the Avengers if he can’t even scare the movie viewers?

All You Need is Doctor Strange to Bargain

In his standalone movie, Doctor Strange goes head-to-head with a villain much like Thanos. Dormammu is a cosmic conqueror and a destroyer of worlds with apocalyptic intentions, just like the Mad Titan.

However, before Dormammu could complete his plans of destruction, he’s stopped by Doctor Strange with a simple bargain.

Strange uses the Eye of Agamotto to imprison Dormammu in an endless loop of time where his everyday reality is the same thing over and over again. After only a couple of minutes of this new life, Dormammu gets fed up with Strange’s monologue and ultimately decides to accept the bargain.

If Strange can bargain with Thanos, we could see the movie ending a lot earlier than we all expected.

Even if Strange doesn’t use his bargaining skills, we still know that he’s willing to spend an eternity dying to protect the world. How can Thanos compete with that?

Team Daddy Issues Has a Score to Settle

Star-Lord, Gamora, Nebula, Tony Stark, Loki, and Thor – what do they all have in common? They all have extreme daddy issues.

Gamora and Nebula’s dad will no doubt be the center of the issues in Infinity War, but will they recruit the other daddy-less heroes to help them seek revenge?

Star-Lord recently found his dad in the last Guardians movie, only to find out that he was an evil planet seeking to take his son’s powers and rule the world.

Then there’s Loki, who has had daddy issues ever since he found out he was adopted, and Thor, who recently lost his failure-of-a-dad and learned he had a secret sister.

Finally, there’s Tony Stark, who we last saw fighting a Civil War because Bucky claimed the life of his father.

Each of these characters has fresh wounds and will most likely be ready to fight against the worst daddy of them all.

Thanos Can’t Go Without His Chair For Too Long

For the past six years, we’ve seen Thanos wreaking havoc all from the comfort of his own chair. He sent Loki and the Chitauri to take over Earth and potentially had a hand in the events of Age of Ultron.

The Mad Titan has done a lot from his home base, but what will happen when he finally gets off his throne?

Will Thanos’ legs be so weak that he simply falls over as soon as he touches the solid ground?

Or will he come to Earth and start missing the easy life back on his throne of doom?

This meme suggests that Thanos won’t be able to do much in Infinity War. He’ll head to Earth and his mind will be set on going home.

With Thanos being distracted by the separation from his chair, the Avengers will surely be able to defeat him and protect the universe.

The Avengers Don’t Do As They’re Told

Don’t mess with the regulator, he said. You’ll enter the Quantum Realm and never come back, he said. Well, apparently, Scott Lang doesn’t listen to Hank Pym and he saves the day by going sub-atomic and entering the Quantum Realm.

Just like Scott, most of the Avengers don’t do as they’re told. Peter Quill was told not to touch the Infinity Stone, but he does and harnesses the power to take down Ronan.

Then, Doctor Strange disregards the advice to never get stuck in a single moment, and ultimately traps himself and Dormammu in an endless loop so that he can bargain with him and save the day.

If Thanos ever watched the past movies, he should know by now that the Avengers don’t live by the laws of the universe. So, why even bother trying to defeat them? They’ll just find a way to stop him.

The Avengers Have Both Brains and Gains

What does it take to beat a supervillain seeking to destroy the entire universe? You need to be stronger and smarter than him.

The Avengers is a great group of crime-fighting heroes because they have both the brains and the gains to take on any adversary. Based on the Infinity War trailer, we can see that they decide to divide and conquer by emphasizing these two attributes.

In one scene, Tony Stark, Bruce Banner, Doctor Strange, and Wong are clearly ready to take on Thanos and his Black Order with their brains.

In another scene, we see the gains team rushing into battle in Wakanda. This team consists of Captain America, Black Panther, the Winter Soldier, Black Widow, Okoye, the Hulk, Falcon, and War Machine.

With the Avengers’ great combination of brains and gains, Thanos is definitely doomed.

Someone Woke Up Bucky

Have you ever woken up and wished you could just go back to bed? Or maybe you were having a peaceful dream and you were rudely awakened by your roommate.

Well, take that experience and multiply it by 20, because that’s exactly how Bucky probably felt.

After learning about everything his Hydra-influenced mind made him do, Bucky decided it was safest for the entire world if he simply disappeared for a while.

So, at the end of Civil War, he headed to Wakanda and entered a comatose state until he re-emerged in Black Panther without his Hydra arm.

However, his awakening isn’t as peaceful as he’d like. Bucky is about to get thrown into another war against the vicious Mad Titan and he’s most likely not too thrilled – maybe the Winter Soldier can harness that inner anger and unleash it on Thanos and the entire Black Order.

Can Thanos Actually Do It By Himself?

Thanos sent Loki to Earth with an army of Chitauri to retrieve the Tesseract. However, despite all of the back-up, the God of Mischief failed his mission and was captured by the Avengers.

A couple of years later, Ultron hits the main stage. As an evil Siri, the robot’s programming had the capabilities of some of the world’s best armies. He also furthered his powers by creating his own robotic soldiers to help him in his mission.

However, he too was thwarted by the world’s mightiest heroes.

After his failed attempts to seek out the Infinity Stones, Thanos now believes it’s time for him to do it on his own, but how does that make sense?

If Loki had an army and Ultron was an army, why would Thanos be able to take down the Avengers all by himself?

The Avengers Have Star-Lord

The Black Order is Thanos’ league of extraordinary villains that help him seek out planets to conquer and destroy. However, what happens to the Black Order when the actual planet starts to fight back?

In the last Guardians of the Galaxy movie, we found out that Star-Lord is half-celestial.

This means that Star-Lord draws powers from a planet and can manipulate energy and matter to create solid constructions such as a glove of rocks or a giant Pac-Man. He also has superhuman physical strength and is almost immune to any damage.

Star-Lord’s energy source was destroyed in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 so he’s going to need another power source if he’s going to go mano-a-mano with Thanos.

However, his groovy dance moves and expert thievery alone might be enough to take down the Mad Titan’s Black Order.

Everyone’s Making Fun of Thanos

If you’ve followed Thanos’ appearances in the MCU, you may have noticed that he has changed over the years.

When the Mad Titan was introduced in The Avengers (2012), he had a dark purple hue and piercing, glowing blue eyes. His appearance and cryptic smirk made him seem like a true force to be reckoned with.

However, when Thanos was first seen in the Infinity War trailers, he didn’t seem so menacing. His skin was lighter, his eyes were lightened, and he seemed more like a kid’s Happy Meal toy than the destroyer of the universe.

This change in appearance has sparked the creation of many memes. According to this one, Thanos uses Fair & Lovely cream to achieve his new look.

The menacing villain of Infinity War might be more interested in keeping up his appearances than actually destroying half of the universe.

Thanos Doesn’t Need To Be Defeated Because He’s Already An Avenger

Apparently, all the Marvel heroes have already RSVP’d for the fight of their lives, but Hawkeye’s invitation mysteriously got lost in the mail.

#JusticeForHawkeye has most likely filled up your Twitter feed for the past couple of months. This is because Avengers fans have been outraged by the lack of a specific archer in the Infinity War trailers and marketing material.

Anthony Russo has commented about the missing Avenger and said that “All will be explained when people see the movie.”

So, does Hawkeye have a special role in Infinity War? Or does his costume give away his transition to Ronin?

According to this meme, Hawkeye’s mysterious disappearance can only be explained by a Scooby Doo switcheroo. Marvel is hiding Hawkeye because he’s actually Thanos in a mask.

Gods Don’t Even Phase the Avengers

From invading aliens to crazy sibling rivalry, the Avengers have seen it all. This has prepared them for everything, even meeting gods.

During their encounters with the God of Thunder and the God of Mischief, Captain America was still able to hold on to his faith.

This has led to one of his most infamous lines: “There’s only one god ma’am, and I’m pretty sure he doesn’t dress like that.”

Iron Man has also stayed true to his faith, or lack thereof. After meeting Thor and Loki, he doesn’t change his methods and continues to pursue Thor even though he’s “a friendly”.

Hulk, on the other hand, has completely humiliated the two Asgardian gods. In the Avengers, he beats Loki calling him a “puny god” and embarrasses Thor in the Grandmaster’s arena.

So, how can Thanos beat the Avengers when they weren’t even phased by gods?

Thanos is Friendzoned

Behind every great man is a great woman rolling her eyes, and this is definitely true for the Mad Titan.

Everything Thanos does, he does for love. Lady Death is at the center of Thanos’ heart and his entire motivation for death and destruction is an elaborate rouse to become the apple of her eye.

However, Thanos’ love goes unrequited in the comics. Lady Death never feels the same way about him and the Mad Titan is usually left alone and friend-zoned.

If Lady Death makes an appearance in Infinity War, she has the power to destroy Thanos even before the Avengers need to assemble.

It’ll be a snap of the fingers and a hair flip, and we’ll see Thanos retreating back to his chair.

Thanos Can’t Win If He Can’t Find Vision

Thanos needs all six Infinity Stones to complete the Infinity Gauntlet and fulfill his mission of doom. If he fails to find one of them, his entire plan falls to pieces. So, can the Avengers prevent him from finding the hidden gems?

While we’re unaware of where the Soul Stone is, we do know that the Mind Stone is currently housed in Vision’s head. Therefore, the Avengers just have to keep Vision away from Thanos, right?

Vision could take a page out of Thor’s book and wear his disguise from Thor: Ragnarok. Although it didn’t hide him from Valkyrie, Thor was able to run away from the Grandmaster.

However, from the Infinity War trailer, we can assume that Thanos does find Vision. In the trailer, there is a scene of someone stabbing Vision’s forehead with a glaive. This person was most likely Corvus Glaive, a member of Thanos’ Black Order.

When the Avengers Don’t Let Thanos Win

At the end of every Avengers movie to date, we see the mighty heroes defeating the villain and saving the day. Why should Infinity War be any different?

In the ultimate battle of good against evil, good must always win so that us, viewers learn a valuable lesson.

Therefore, we don’t even need to imagine a world where evil ends up on top. All that’s left for us to imagine is what will Thanos do once he’s defeated by the Avengers.

This meme makes fun of a scene in one of the Infinity War trailers, where it looks like Thanos is pouting and using his puppy dog eyes to get sympathy.

Could this be what Thanos does when the Avengers take him down and ruin his evil plans?

Does he trade in his menacing grin for puppy dog eyes and sympathy?

Captain America vs. Thanos

In the Infinity War trailer, Captain America is shown pushing against Thanos’ gauntlet with his bare hands. If you look at Thanos’ reaction to Cap’s strength, you’ll see that the Mad Titan can’t even hide his sheer look of surprise.

In fact, Thanos’ facial expression looks a lot like the look Thor gave Captain America when he was able to slightly lift Mjolnir in Age of Ultron.

So, could Captain America be strong enough to take down the Mad Titan with his bare hands?

Some people believe that this scene indicates that Captain America is in possession of the Soul Stone. If you look at his eyes as he’s pushing against Thanos’ hand, you may see a yellow hue.

To some fans, this shows that Cap has found the Soul Stone and is using it to destroy Thanos.

Could Cap have gotten the Soul Stone during his time in Wakanda?

The Avengers Will Win the Thumb War

There’s no shortage of memes out there making fun of Thanos’ new look and the CGI that created it.

He’s been compared to a purple savage Patrick Star, Grimace from McDonald’s, and a purple Shrek. However, this one takes a different approach and compares Thanos to a purple thumb.

This meme suggests that if you drew an angry man on your thumb and colored it purple, it would look exactly like the Mad Titan.

The real question though, is who would win the thumb wars?

With the Avengers occupying the opposing hand, they would surely be able to beat Thanos. With so many of them, they could easily cheat and hold him down with the rest of the fingers – or the rest of their team.
