It’s no surprise that many actors who star in a movie or show together end up dating at one point or another. Pretending to be in love often results in real-life romance, whether it’s a full-fledged relationship or simply a few nights together.

When sparks are flying for the camera, there’s most likely some chemistry off-camera as well. It’s hard to film a steamy kissing scene and just forget about it once the cameras aren’t rolling.

Office romances happen in Hollywood, too. The real challenge is whether their chemistry continues after the the filming ends. Some co-stars get happily ever after in real life, while others go down in flames.

It can be harder to keep the flame alive once the Hollywood magic stops propelling them along, particularly when the entire world is engaged in your relationship.

While there are plenty of well-known couples who met on set, like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, or Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield, there are others that manage to slip under the radar, only to be revealed at a later time, once the romance had ended. Others were mere speculation.

Regardless of the situation, here are the 15 Co-Stars You Had No Idea Got Together.

15. Channing Tatum and Amanda Bynes

She’s The Man is an iconic teen comedy to an entire generation. The hilarious movie proved that Channing Tatum and Amanda Bynes were a perfect duo.  Apparently, they were perfect off-screen as well.

Not only did they play love interests in the movie, but they also got together in real life.

While it’s never been officially confirmed the two were a couple, they were seen kissing a few times when they weren’t filming.

Tatum ended up marrying his former Step Up co-star Jenna Dewan, although there were rumors swirling that he dated her at the same time as Bynes.

Regardless of what happened in the past, he’s now happily married and Bynes has said she is considering making an acting comeback in 2018. She’s The Man 2, anyone?

 Taylor Lautner and Lily Collins

While Taylor Lautner’s most famous ex is Taylor Swift, he also dated actress Lily Collins. The two starred in the 2011 movie Abduction together. Despite never confirming their relationship, witnesses were adamant that the pair were a couple at one point.

Although they kept their relationship quiet, it was said that the two had an instant connection. Their chemistry is clear from the on-screen romance they shared in the movie, particularly the scene where they makeout in a train car. Lautner even said that this was his favorite scene in the movie.

The relationship was short lived, however, and the two split up just before the premiere of the movie. It seems like the two were just caught up in the whirlwind of playing love interests for a movie.

 John Stamos and Lori Loughlin

Jesse and Becky were one of the best couples on Full House. A lot of people aren’t aware that the actors that portrayed them, John Stamos and Lori Loughlin, once dated in real life.

While the show aired, fans speculated whether or not the two would get together in real life.

Weirdly enough, the two went on a date before their Full House days, when they were still daytime soap stars. They went to see a band at Disneyland, and supposedly the night ended with a kiss.

According to Loughlin, they debate about whether or not it was a date. She isn’t so sure, whereas Stamos claims it was. Regardless, their possible relationship was only a thing when they were teens. They’ve both claimed the timing was just never right for them.

 Josh Hutcherson and Vanessa Hudgens

When people think of Vanessa Hudgens, they most likely think about her relationship with Zac Efron. However, he wasn’t the only co-star who she dated. Hudgens also dated actor Josh Hutcherson.

The two starred together in Journey 2: The Mysterious Island. After her split with Efron, Hudgens was seen out a lot with Hutcherson. In an awkward interview, they were asked how long they’ve been dating, and Josh joked that they used to date, but she broke his heart.

The two insisted they were just really good friends, although they were more at one point.

Hudgens has been dating actor Austin Butler for a long time, and Hutcherson ended up with his longtime girlfriend Claudia Traisac. Things seem to have worked out for the best.

 Mark Salling and Naya Rivera

There were many real and rumored relationships among the Glee cast. Lea Michele and Cory Monteith were the most popular, but Mark Salling and Naya Rivera, who arguably played two of the best characters on the show, were also dating at one point.

They managed to date in secret for three years until they finally made their relationship public.

Apparently, the relationship was on and off and the ultimate break up wasn’t so great.

There were rumors that Rivera egged and keyed Salling’s car after they called it off, although at one point Salling insisted on his Twitter that the two were good friends.

Salling recently passed away while awaiting sentencing for possession of inappropriate child content, which he had pleaded guilty for. Rivera has been married to actor Ryan Dorsey since 2014.

 Emma Roberts and Alex Pettyfer

Emma Roberts and Alex Pettyfer may seem like an unlikely pair, but they were co-stars in the movie Wild Child in 2008. The two quickly started dating when filming began.

Not only did the two hook up, but they were also so serious about each other that Pettyfer got her initials tattooed on his ring finger. They were together for a year and seemed to be quite in love. The couple eventually broke up, but Pettyfer has said that he doesn’t live in regret, so it seems like he isn’t mad about the permanent ink.

Roberts is now with her American Horror Story co-star Evan Peters. They’re well-known for their on and off-screen romance. Pettyfer has gone on to date a few other actresses, including his I Am Number Four co-star Dianna Agron.

 Megan Fox and Shia LaBeouf

Transformers co-stars Megan Fox and Shia LaBeouf reportedly got together while filming the huge franchise.

Their alleged fling caused a bit of a controversy because Fox was supposedly dating her now-husband Brian Austin Green at the time.

When LaBeouf was asked about the situation, he said that when you’re on set pretending to be attracted to someone, you just get caught up. He also stated that the time they spent together was their own thing.

Fox has explained that she and Green were on a break during the time that she may have been hooking up with LaBeouf. Regardless of the situation, it’s clear that something happened between the two actors during filming.

Apparently it can be hard to separate work and real-life while on set. Can you really blame them?

 Miley Cyrus and Lucas Till

Miley Cyrus and Lucas Till played love interests in Hannah Montana: The Movie, but apparently it didn’t end there. They also dated off-camera, although it was pretty short-lived.

Lucas Till has confirmed that the pair dated for two months on set, but remained good friends after it ended. Fans speculated that the two would date before even seeing the movie, considering that Miley personally picked him to portray her love interest for the movie.

The chemistry that viewers see on screen has some truth to it, which makes the movie a little better. It seems that after the movie was over, however, the magic of their romance faded.

Till went on to date Taylor Swift after starring in her music video, and Miley is now engaged to Liam Hemsworth.

 Jason Segel and Linda Cardellini

Freaks and Geeks is an iconic cult television show that was underappreciated at the time that it aired. It helped launch the careers of some big actors, like James Franco and Seth Rogen. However, it also launched a romance between stars Jason Segel and Linda Cardellini.

They had a serious and secret off-camera relationship throughout the course of the show as well as after it ended. Supposedly, they dated from 2001 all the way until 2007.

Apparently, their eventual breakup is what helped inspire the famous breakup scene from Segel’s romantic comedy Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

While he’s never confirmed that detail, it’s heavily speculated that a lot of moments in the movie were influenced by their relationship. At least he turned a bad situation into great comedy.

 Tyra Banks and Will Smith

The Fresh Prince of Bel Air is an iconic American sitcom. It helped launch Will Smith to the stardom that he has today. Allegedly, he dated his co-star Tyra Banks at some point during the show’s six season run.

With his shift from rapping to acting and her being an incredibly successful model, they were certainly a power couple. Neither have ever officially confirmed their relationship, but supposedly after she played his love interest for a few episodes, they dated for a year.

Although they didn’t work out romantically, both of their careers continued to grow after their time on the show. Banks went on to star on America’s Next Top Model and Smith is now one of Hollywood’s top movie actors.

Smith is now happily married to Jada Pinkett Smith, and Banks is with her long-term partner Erik Asla. It all worked out for the best.

 Liam Hemsworth and Jennifer Lawrence

Although Liam Hemsworth is now engaged to Miley Cyrus, he used to spend a lot of time with his Hunger Games co-star Jennifer Lawrence.

Lawrence is known to be extremely blunt, and she admitted in an interview that not only did the two kiss on-screen as Gale at Katniss, but they also kissed when the cameras weren’t rolling.

The two grew up together, and Lawrence simply said that he was hot and that anyone else would have kissed him too. That explanation seems simple enough. It’s hard not to wonder how Hemsworth felt about that very public admission.

It’s not clear how many times this may have happened, or if they ever possessed romantic feelings for each other, but it does seem that unlike her fictional counterpart, Lawrence would choose Gale over Peeta any day.

 Milo Ventimiglia and Alexis Bledel

Gilmore Girls fans have been debating which love interest Rory should have ended up with for years, but if we’re going based on real life, she would have been with Jess. Alexis Bledel and Milo Ventimiglia dated in real life as well as on the show.

The two met on set in 2001 when Ventimiglia joined the show and they were officially a couple a year later. Supposedly, they dated for four years and even discussed marriage. The two eventually broke up in 2006, though it’s not clear why.

Bledel is now married to Mad Men star Vincent Kartheiser, while Ventimiglia has stolen hearts all over the world with his role as Jack on This Is Us.

Fans are rooting for he and co-star Mandy Moore to date in real life, but he’s made it clear that he’s no longer a fan of dating his co-stars after a few failed tries.

 Ryan Gosling and Sandra Bullock

Ryan Gosling, his partner Eva Mendes, and their children make such a great family that many people forget that before they got together, Gosling dated actress Sandra Bullock.

They filmed Murder By Numbers together back in 2002. Though they never went public about their relationship, there were heavy rumors that the two were dating, despite their sixteen year age difference.

The 22 and 38 year old dated for about a year before calling it quits.

Gosling has never said anything but good things about their relationship, as well as his time with The Notebook star Rachel McAdams, stating “I had two of the greatest girlfriends of all time.”

At least there’s no bad blood there. Gosling is now happy with Mendes, and Bullock was married to Jesse James for five years.

 Lena Headey and Jerome Flynn

A lot of Game Of Thrones fans are aware of Kit Harington and Rose Leslie’s relationship, but many aren’t aware that stars Lena Headey and Jerome Flynn were once a couple, although it was a long time ago.

Cersei and Bronn would certainly be a strange matchup, but in real life they once had chemistry. The two dated before their time on the HBO series, in the early 2000s. It’s unclear quite what happened, but the two are not on great terms despite starring on the same show.

According to crew members of the show, the two are kept apart on set and are not even on speaking terms. That could make filming the final season a bit awkward, as they are bound to end up in the same scene at some point.

 Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford

Although it was always suspected, actress Carrie Fisher finally admitted to hooking up with her Star Wars co-star Harrison Ford in her memoir after keeping it quiet for four decades.

Despite the fact that Ford was married with two kids at the time and their major age difference (Fisher was 19, Ford was 33), they started an affair during filming which lasted three months. It seems they were only romantic for the duration of Star Wars and not after, although part of Fisher wanted it to continue.

It appears that Ford wasn’t the only one to hook up with Princess Leia on set, though.

Mark Hamill revealed that the two made out during filming as well. Fisher once wrote in her journal that although she fell hard for Ford, it should have been Hamill.

It seems like a lot more went on behind the scenes of Star Wars than most people realized at the time.
