Whether it’s superheroes from the same universe or comedies across different networks, the fans love to see crossovers happen. The idea of one’s favorite characters from different shows interacting with each other is too good to deny. But sadly, some crossovers will never happen.

Some series were canceled too soon, never giving them the chance at a collaboration, while others didn’t air in the same era. But if TV fans had their way, some crossovers would get made. The opportunity would be too good to pass up. Here are 10 TV crossovers that never happened, but should have.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Parks and Recreation

Seeing as both shows come from a couple of the most brilliant minds in comedy, it only makes sense their paths should cross on the small screen. Many fans imagine the geeky excitement as Amy and Leslie compare notes and binder tips.

Rosa, Ron, and Captain Holt would make great drinking buddies, all three sitting in silence as they enjoy a glass of Scotch. Jake and Andy would make it a madhouse with their high energy and enthusiasm. It’s a shame the two cast of characters will never grace the television screen together.

Supernatural and The Vampire Diaries

Many fans of both shows often wondered who would win in a fight: the Winchesters or the Salvatores? Compelling arguments were made for both sides, but sadly, they’ll never know. As The Vampire Diaries came to an end in 2017 and Supernatural is in its final season, there was no room left for a crossover to happen.

But it’s probably for the best, as seeing our favorite sets of brothers fight it out would be too much for fandom to handle. If the Winchesters fought the Salvatores, where would it leave the likes of Elena and Caroline?

Nora From Queens and Broad City

Both Comedy Central shows center on wayward young women in the big city. Nora From Queens stars Awkwafina as she navigates young adulthood in Queens, raised alongside her cousin while Broad City follows best friends Abbi and Ilana as they get into shenanigans in New York.

Combining both casts is a recipe for funny. But as Abbi and Ilana moved on and the show came to an end last year, the fans will never know what could have been if Nora had met the dynamic duo.

Shadowhunters and Teen Wolf

Both paranormal series were aimed at a younger audience and held a great deal of angst, intrigue, romance, and monsters. Teen Wolf took place in a fictional California while Shadowhunters was mainly set in New York City.

But as Scott McCall and his pack always saved the day, it would have been awesome to see a team-up between them and the New York pack run by Luke Garroway. The crossover of demons and creatures between both shows would have been too cool for words. Plus, it would have been a great way to introduce vampires into Teen Wolf.

Sleepy Hollow and Lucifer

The chemistry of Abby and Ichabod Crane combined with the dynamic between Lucifer and Detective Chloe Decker would have made fans lose their minds. The dedicated cop with rational sensibilities that gets thrown into the world of the supernatural with an eccentric partner with ties to the paranormal makes delicious television.

Considering Abby and Ichabod fought monsters from hell all the time, it only makes sense their paths should have crossed with Lucifer. Bonus points for seeing the shady looks Abby and Ichabod would have exchanged when they met the Lord of Hell.

Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead

Fan theories already abound about how Walter White’s brand of meth led to the zombie outbreak of The Walking Dead. Seeing as these two shows were AMC’s biggest franchises, making a collaboration out of them makes sense.

It’s a compelling idea that a science teacher gone rogue creates a deadly drug that ends the world as they know it. El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie left the story open for a certain beloved character to make his appearance in The Walking Dead universe. It’s not too late for a taste of a crossover.

True Blood and Midnight Texas

Both shows stem from worlds created in Charlaine Harris books. Sadly, True Blood came to an end in 2014 and Midnight Texas only had two seasons, canceled in 2018. The fictional town of Midnight acts like a haven for the supernatural, similar to how so many paranormal creatures settled in Bon Temps, Louisiana.

But while Bon Temps became home to mostly vampires and a handful of other creatures like werewolves and fairies, Midnight called to so many more supernaturals, like psychics, witches, angels, and demons. It was rife for a crossover with True Blood beings.

Firefly and The Mandalorian

There’s something special about space Westerns with gruff leads that secretly have hearts of gold. That’s why seeing Captain Malcolm Reynolds cross paths with Mando would have made fans lose their minds.

The two shows don’t exist within the same era, but if ever Fireflymakes a comeback with a reboot, it would be prime for a crossover with The Mandalorian on Disney+. It would be especially exciting to see Mal assigned to take down Mando but team-up instead. Also, a scene with Zoe and Cara Dune fighting back to back wouldn’t go amiss.

Workaholics and The Office

If Blake, Ders, and Adam ever met the cast of characters from The Office, absolute mayhem would have ensued. It would have been the kind of slapstick humor that would leave the audience in stitches. Three average Joes working mundane telemarketing jobs meeting another crew of average employees at a paper company doesn’t sound exciting.

But knowing the goofball personalities that exist across the two series ensures an episode or two of pure madness. It’s the competent characters that would suffer the most, and the fans would love that.

House, M.D. and Grey’s Anatomy

It’s hard to believe, but these two shows never did a crossover. Considering all the drama that occurs in Grey’s Anatomy, it would have been amusing to see the curmudgeon Dr. House interact with the cast of the fictional Seattle Grace Hospital.

Though he may have found his match in the equally abrasive Dr. Cristina Yang. A whole episode could be dedicated to the two going at each other’s throats only to begrudgingly come to an understanding in the end. Any plot involving House and the Grey’s crew would be full of drama to satiate the masses.
