Riverdale is a dramatic teen TV series that began airing in 2017 on The CW. The series is a dark and intense take on the Archie comics and features all of our favorite characters from those comics. Camila Mendes: The Perfect Date (2019)

Camila Mendes got her career started in an IKEA commercial, but her first major acting gig was being cast as Veronica Lodge in Riverdale. Veronica is a socialite who moved with her mother to the town of Riverdale, following some legal issues with her father.

Although Riverdale was the first series that Camila appeared in, she’s gone on to be in more projects since then. Among them is the Netflix original movie The Perfect Date. In this movie, she appears alongside Noah Centineo who plays Brooks, a high school student who decides to make some cash for college by creating an app in which people can hire him to be their date to special events.

Cole Sprouse: Five Feet Apart (2019)

Before Cole Sprouse began playing the role of the brooding and intellectual Jughead on Riverdale, he and his twin brother, Dylan, rose to fame on the Disney Channel on shows like The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and The Suite Life on Deck.

While Cole’s twin brother has taken a break from the spotlight and is more focused on running his own meadery in New York, Cole has been enjoying life as an actor in a variety of different projects. Among them is the romantic drama Five Feet Apart. The movie follows two teens that meet during their treatment for their cystic fibrosis. The two of them immediately have chemistry, but the limitations put on them because of their disease leads to complications.

Charles Melton: The Sun Is Also A Star (2019)

Charles Melton plays the role of Reggie Mantle in Riverdale. This character was portrayed by Ross Butler in the first season but was taken over by Melton after that. In the series, Reggie is a friend of Archie’s and one of the athletes at the school that the two of them attend.

Along with Riverdale, Charles Melton has been getting a lot of attention in Hollywood lately for his role in the film adaptation of the young adult novel The Sun Is Also a Star. In the film, he stars alongside Black-ish’s Yara Shahidi. The two of them play a pair of strangers who meet in New York City and, despite having totally different outlooks on love and life, fall for each other.

Madelaine Petsch: F The Prom (2017)

In Riverdale, Madelaine Petsch plays the role of Cheryl Blossom, Riverdale’s “it girl” and the twin sister of the late Jason Blossom. The first season has a heavy focus on the Blossom family as everyone in Riverdale comes together to try to figure out exactly who killed Jason Blossom prior to the start of the series.

Petsch also has a YouTube channel where she uploads beauty and lifestyle videos. When she’s not giving us a glimpse into her real life, Petsch is busy acting in different movies, including F the Prom. In the movie, she plays a cheerleader who finds her popular girl status in trouble after a member of her squad plans to sabotage their prom night.

Lili Reinhart: Hustlers (2019)

Lili Reinhart appeared in a variety of movies and TV shows prior to being cast in Riverdale, but her portrayal of Betty Cooper on this dramatic teen TV show is definitely the role that has catapulted her into stardom in recent years. Along with playing Betty on Riverdale, this actress has gone on to be in some pretty major movies recently like Hustlers.

The movie was released in 2019 and, along with Reinhart, stars other huge names in Hollywood like Constance Wu, Jennifer Lopez, and Keke Palmer. The movie follows a group of dancers who find a clever way to get back at their wealthy clients when their money starts to drop.

Skeet Ulrich: Scream (1996)

Although most of Riverdale is focused on the teenage characters, we can’t forget about the important role that a lot of the adults in the series play. Skeet Ulrich is the actor that plays FP Jones, father of Archie’s best friend Jughead Jones.

Unlike a lot of the younger actors and actresses in the series, Skeet Ulrich has been in the world of acting for quite a while. Although he’s got a lot of movies under his belt, one of the first ones that many people likely think of when they hear this name is Scream. In the movie, he played Sidney Prescott’s boyfriend and the first Ghostface, Billy Loomis.

KJ Apa: The Last Summer (2019)

KJ Apa is the actor who plays the role of Riverdale’s main character, Archie. Even though Archie is known for his signature red hair, this New Zealand actor’s native hair color is actually not quite that bright shade. The actor’s real hair color can be seen in some of the other films he’s appeared in.

One of them is The Last Summer, a movie that was released on Netflix in 2019. The movie follows a group of friends who recently graduated from high school. During their last summer together before moving on to college and the rest of their lives, they face challenges in their friendships and romantic connections.

Vanessa Morgan: The Shannara Chronicles (2016 - 2017)

On Riverdale, Vanessa Morgan plays the role of Toni Topaz. But, Riverdale is far from the first teen drama that this actress has starred in. This actress has been in a variety of different teen TV shows, including MTV’s fantasy novel adaptation The Shannara Chronicles.

This series, which aired two seasons, is based on a series of fantasy novels by Terry Brooks. The series focused on the history of the Four Lands and all the high fantasy, magical drama of the area. In the series, Vanessa Morgan played the role of Lyria.

Ashleigh Murray: Deidra & Laney Rob A Train (2017)

Ashleigh Murray appeared on Riverdale from 2017 through 2019 as Josie McCoy, the lead singer of Josie and the Pussycats. After announcing that she would be leaving Riverdale, fans were excited to hear that she would be reprising her role of Josie in the spin-off series, Katy Keene.

Along with these two series, Murray has also appeared in films like Deidra & Laney Rob a Train. In the movie, she plays the role of Deidra, a teen girl whose mother was recently arrested. In order to make ends meet, she and her sister go to desperate measures to get the money they need.

Asha Bromfield: Full Out (2015)

Asha Bromfield is best known to Riverdale fans for having played the role of Melody Valentine, a former member of Josie and the Pussycats, during the first two seasons of Riverdale.

Prior to appearing on Riverdale, this actress played the role of Michelle in Full Out. Full Out is a movie that was inspired by the true story of Ariana Berlin, an Olympic hopeful gymnast whose life was forever changed after being in a car accident.
