Microsoft made big news last year when they announced that Xbox One would begin implementing backward compatibility for Xbox 360 titles. The change in policy, accomplished by gradually making individual 360 games available for free downloads “unlocked” by the presence of a corresponding 360 game in the disc drive or previously-existing digital download, promised to give Xbox One owners a chance to reconnect with (or discover for the first time) some of the biggest hits and hidden gems of the previous console generation - a significant increase in the total number of titles available to current-gen consumers....

Officially released last year, the macOS Catalina is Apple’s latest update to the operating system on all their branded computers. A Series Of Unfortunate Events is one of the most off-kilter children book series from the past twenty years. Breaking out around the same time as Harry Potter, the thirteen books by Lemony Snicket (the in-universe pen-name of author Daniel Handler) are creepy, strange, yet ultimately affable stories that follow the typically miserable adventures of the Baudilare orphans: inventive Violet, book-worm Klaus and baby Sunny. It was turned into a Jim Carrey-starring movie in 2004; and now, over ten years since the books wrapped up, Netflix are making a brand new TV series....

Yesterday saw record AAPL Q3 earnings, dramatically beating analyst expectations, and Jason Snell has once again turned all the key numbers into beautifully easy-to-digest color charts.
